I've decided to make a new feature here: The Week Ender. Every Friday or Saturday if I can. I'm mainly doing this because I'm in a desperate need to fill the blog up with more posts. This pretty much a summary of what happened this week that affects me, and what I think about it.
First thing that happened was the new GTA:IV content was dropped: The Lost and Damned. It takes place parallel with the storyline of the original game, and instead of playing as Niko Bellic, you play as biker Johny Klebitz who had been a minor character in the stroyline of GTA 4.
Right now, (I've done about 30% of it so far) it's kinda fun. The only real flaws are the general restriction of what you can do it the game, and the characters. The major characetrs are Billy Grey, Jim Fitzgerald, and Johnny himself. Billy is like a more mild Brucie, except he gets annoying faster, Jim actually seems llike a cool guy, and Johnny just seems like a jerk, being hostile to Billy right after he gets out of rehab.
The new weapons are a lot of fun, with the double-barrel shotgun being able to be shot from the seat of a motocycle, the auto-pistol also being a really powerful gun at close ranges, and the gernade launcher being a barrel of fun so far.
Overall it's pretty fun, but the story and the amount of things you can do are lacking in some areas.
The new Scout weapons (the bat and pistol replacements) were annouced.... the Scout got a lot more overpowered, with the ability to become even faster and the ability to halt Ubers for a brief amount of time. No way this won't go over well with the Steam community. I personally think they should of done a Spy update.
Normally I would of done this on a Friday or Saturday, but Street Fighter 4 is reaching my house tomorrow through Gamefly, which is going to eat up the whole day. On Saturday (If I have enough time) or on Sunday I'll post some first impressions.
(And before I forget: My Laptop has a virus, so I'm going to have to use my dad's Mac for a few days.... not Propain)
